POSITION SUMMARY:
Product Regulatory Compliance Engineer, Global Standards & Trade is the regional representative to both National & International Testing & Certification Organizations and is the primary interface to RA Business Units seeking assistance in achieving certification of Product to meet local China requirements with a particular focus on the CCC requirements.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Science/Engineering preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This position requires sound commercial and business drive together with a technical grasp of RA products and technologies or similar industrial technical knowledge. Training on RA products will be provided as required.
The position also requires knowledge of government regulations, standards and compliance requirements for the RA range of products and services.
Experience demonstrating accomplishment in an industry or government related certification and testing position is required.
Inter-personal skills should include Group/Team leadership, negotiation experience and strong communication skills in both English and Chinese languages.
The candidate should be capable of operating as an independent contributor with the necessary computer/IT skills to network globally with their peers in other countries and the business unit product and engineering management in the USA.
The candidate should be able to travel freely within the China region and internationally.
International trips may be of three weeks in length. Local trips will typically be of one to three days in duration.

SCOPE OF POSITION:
Coordination of Company activities on Product Certification & Testing that effect:
• The products manufactured and the services provided by Rockwell Automation in China,
• The products manufactured and services provided by Rockwell Automation from other International Locations
• The global distribution and sale of Rockwell Automation products and services
• The interoperability of Rockwell Automation products and services both with Rockwell Automation and other manufacturers equipment
• How the customers (end-users) apply Rockwell Automation products and services.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to China Area Manager, Global Standards & Trade.
Working contacts with the following are expected:
• Business Unit Managers of the Groups and Divisions of the Company.
• Company Participants in trade, professional and standards developing organizations
• Personnel of testing and certification organizations
• Government officials associated with Product Regulatory Compliance Requirements Specification, Implementation and Enforcement.
